Payment Policies
1. Registration Fees
- $35 for the first student registered.
- $30 for the second student registered.
- $25 for the third student registered.
Note: Registration fees are non-refundable.
Sessional Classes: No registration fees apply to sessional classes.
We also offer sibling discounted tuition at 5% for the first sibling and 10% for the second+ sibling. This discount applies to siblings living in the same household only.
2. Payment Options
A. Full Payment:
- You can pay in full via credit card
- Payment made in full waives the registration fee.
B. Instalment Payment:
- Payments can be made in 10 monthly instalments by auto-pay on your credit card.
- Instalments will be automatically charged on the 1st of each month (Sept – June).
3. Costume Deposits
- A $40 costume deposit is required for each class your dancer is registered in.
- Costume deposits are due on or before October 1st of each dance season. Those that participate in the EDA PT have their costume deposits due on Nov 1st of each dance season.
- Please note, the costume deposit is not the final cost of the costume. Additional charges may apply based on the final costume price, shipping, duties, and exchange rates.
4. Late Payments
- Overdue accounts (15 days or more past due) will automatically incur a 10% late fee.
- NSF/Declined payments will incur a $35 NSF/Declined charge.
5. Refunds & Adjustments
- No refunds or pro-rating of classes will be provided for dancer illness, vacations, activity conflicts, injuries, etc.
- Costume fees, duties, and shipping costs are non-refundable once costumes are ordered.
- If a dancer withdraws, all costume-related payments must be paid in full, including fees for solos, duos, trios, and group costumes.
Important: Once costumes are ordered, all associated fees (such as duties, shipping, costume costs, and exchange rates) will be added to the dancer’s account.
6. Withdrawal & Cancellation
- One month’s written notice is required for withdrawal from any class or program. The notice must be submitted in writing (email, letter, etc.).
- A one-month cancellation fee applies for dropped classes.
- No refunds will be given for sessional classes; only account credits will be issued (e.g., for 8-week adult sessions).
- Costume, choreography, exam, and festival/competition fees are non-refundable.
- Dancers who withdraw will be unable to take any remaining PAC credits with them. These credits can be:
- Transferred to another student.
- Donated to the PAC.
- Used for future classes.
7. Virtual Classes & Temporary Closures
- In the event of a temporary closure due to COVID-19 or any other natural disaster, all classes will continue via Zoom where possible.
- Zoom classes are mandatory, and the regular payment schedule will continue during such closures.
8. Choreography Fees
- All choreography fees are non-refundable.
9. Tuition Refunds
- We do not offer refunds on tuition after April 1st of each dance season.
Credit Card Payment Policy
1. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods for tuition and related fees:
- Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard
2. Automatic Credit Card Billing
To streamline our billing process, we require all families to have a valid credit card on file. Monthly tuition fees will be automatically charged to the card on file on the 1st of each month.
3. Late Payments
Payments not received by the 5th of the month will be considered late. A late fee of 10% will be applied to the account. Continued late payments may result in suspension of classes until the account is brought up to date.
4. NSF and Declined Payments
A fee of $35 will be charged for any returned cheques or declined credit card transactions. After two such incidents, we will require future payments to be made via certified cheque, cash, or e-transfer.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
To withdraw from classes, a written notice must be submitted 30 days in advance. Refunds for prepaid tuition will be prorated based on the date of withdrawal notice.
6. Security and Privacy
All credit card information is stored securely in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). We are committed to protecting your personal and financial information. We can not see your full CC number in our system.
7. Policy Updates
We reserve the right to update this policy as needed. Any changes will be communicated via email and posted on our website.
